Better communication

 I have been saying this in my reflections a lot. I am still somewhat doing very basic communication with my teammates. I also know that It's really important and with this either the whole team can perform better or you could link up well with a teammate on your side during the game. 

I only do the basic communication part. I tell my teammates "man on", "turn" or "through ball". This stuff is better than not talking or just screaming out my teammates name, but it is still a really basic level of communication. 

I need to be telling my teammate where exactly to turn, or which side to switch play, tell him he's got time to shoot. I am already doing the covering part, but I need to tell more than just "block the left". 

Here are a few things I want to work on in my communication skill. 

1."You got time" and then elaborate on what to do. 

2. "Hold the ball" 

3. "Turn to your...."

4. "turn and shoot" 

5. "Cross" and use hands to indicate where. 

6. Point to where I'm going to put the ball

To do all of this I need to not only make a game plan for myself. I need to know what I want my teammates to do before they get the ball. For that I need to take my scanning to another level, where I'm not only scanning for myself but for other teammates as well.
