Use your body as a shield

 I was playing left back against my senior team which is basically pro players and they were really fast. They have experience and speed and also quick feet. I kept getting beat by a long touch even though my positioning was correct. 

I was not staying on my toes and I was slower compared to them. I talked to the coach and my teammate after the training. I asked them how to prevent this from happening. They said put your body if the ball has gone through. Just step in front of them, if you can't catch them after turning, then put your body in between and block them from going through. 

If their touch isn't too long then the ref probably won't call a foul, because your contesting for the ball. But if the touch is long then, doing this will get you booked because your just holding him now and not really doing it for the ball as it is too far away.
