Late press on the CB

 This is not really a thing I know or do much. I saw a few of my teammates who played striker were told by our coach to not do a high press and win the ball. Well... they did that, but when the CB carried the ball to the side and was going for a long ball even then they didn't press to win it. They misunderstood the coach or just took him way too seriously. 

I think they should've stayed back like the coach asked and when they see that the CB is 100% going for the long ball they should then press real hard to win it or at least make the defender make a bad pass.
