Take early first time shots

I believe that I need to take early shots more often. I either take a touch that takes out my shooting chance by defenders crowding me or I take too much time to decide whether or not to take the shot in the first place. 

Taking the shot early will firstly catch almost everyone off guard in many situations and it gives that surprise element that could play a huge role. the keeper can let the ball go right near his hand all because he wasn't ready to make a save and didn't expect me to shoot. 

To get into situations where first time shots can be taken I think I need to make late runs into the box or shoot when the ball has been set to me or is coming at a slow pace or is close to the goal.
