How to hit a bent shot
These are the steps to hit a bent/curved shot.
1. Approach the ball diagonally. Make sure you aren't coming at the ball straight and not being able to strike it properly. Coming at the ball at an angle will let you execute the proper follow through.
2. Place plant foot right next to the ball. If you place it further like in some other shots, you'll get under the ball and it will go above the crossbar. Plus keeping it close will make the side follow through easier.
3. Use the bone of your foot (sweet spot). This place gives the most power and spin in the same place. Hitting it with the inside foot will make it a pass and won't go really far. Keep the toes out and pointed down to get the perfect contact.
4. Wrap your foot around the ball. To get the spin on the ball, you have to get the most surface area to spin so this is for that only. Follow through to the side across your body to get more of the wrapping motion in place.
That's it
