Thoughts on Playo
I have recently been going to play 7 a side matches through playo. here are my thoughts on how it's helping me.
I think it's a good experience to learn from new people. most of the time there's always a new person and they can bring a quality or a skill that I notice and would want to pick up. Like recently only there was this good dribbler and I saw him use his sole to move the ball from side to side without much movement. I also started doing this and I been using it a little more. I also watched a guy who was good at changing direction and dropping his shoulder. I need to watch him and how he does it so well and then try it myself.
Since it's not a club session I feel more free to try new thing without having to follow styles of plays. I then play better and get good at the new things, which I then can do in my club trainings. Since it's against live people, when I try something it's a match situation rather than cones or even 1v1 with a friend. Basically more match experience. I can also try to apply few of the plays I learn at FCBU here, let's say I learned a new overlapping situation. I can try that here as well.
It's also good mood lifters. when I have a bad FCBU session and then I come here and play freely I enjoy more and go into the next FCBU session in a better mood than if I had not gone with Playo. I also need to work on going into the FCBU session in a good mood by taking what to do and then forgetting the mistake or the thing that made me feel low.
That's it
