Challenge VS Threatening

I tried this out and it seems to have been working out for me. The idea is looking at the same situation differently and talking to yourself and giving two different messages.

For example, I am playing a match against a team that has players who have developed their game more than mine at the moment. One thought that can come is "they're so big, quick, skillful and are better players than me". There are two ways I can look at this, One is being threatened by them and thinking low of myself and viewing myself as inferior. This wouldn't let me play as good and will ruin my game, because I would've slightly given up mentally. The other way is to think of it as a challenge and be affirmative and tell myself I have a chance if I try. This now makes me believe that we can win this game and that I can compete with them.

No matter how good the opponent is I think I owe it to myself to think that I have a chance. Because I'll never know if I don't give my 100%, and I'll never give my 100% if I don't believe I can do it.

That's it
