Receive on the correct foot
Receiving on the correct foot is something I need to work on. I sometimes take a touch with the wrong foot and the ball either doesn't stay with me or it goes way too far from me.
Receiving with the correct foot will increase the speed of play, because you aren't wasting time taking another touch when the ball goes in an undesired direction. Using the correct foot usually makes sure you have more space and time because it is the correct foot, the foot that should make it easier by giving the space and time you need to make good decisions and put your team in a better position to score.
The correct foot would be the one that is pointed in the direction you want to go in. If you wanna go left the left foot is the correct one, if you wanna go right the right foot is the one to use. If the ball is coming to the back foot, try and drop down and take it with correct foot. If that's not possible it is fine to use the back foot sometimes. But you'll have to make sure to get the front foot (correct foot) out of the way so the ball can go into that direction.
When facing the opponents goal taking your first touch with the correct foot should be with the inside foot. When facing your own goal the touch should be taken from the outside of the correct foot. Taking your first touch with correct foot should make it easier to take a step with the touch, which lets you move quicker.
That's it
