Don't have to cut back every time
I have kinda gotten used to dribbling close to the line or just dribbling the ball towards goal. But a lot of the times when I dribbled up I had space to continue a little towards goal and shoot, but I chose to force a cut back that wasn't even there. All I have to do in that situation is drop a shoulder or do a step over and go further towards goal.
I don't have to force the cut back towards the inside (where the striker is standing). I can always turn towards the outside and then play the midfielder who is just above the 18yard box to help and support me. Or I have the full back to pass to as well. If I turn the other way I'm giving myself more time to think and wait for better options. I might even pull play towards my side and then pass it to the midfielder who can switch it to the other side and counter from there.
That's it
