Key Elements In Dribbling

1. Relax your body: While dribbling if your stiff and can't move in different directions it's gonna be hard for you to get past anyone. However if you're keeping your body free and letting it flow, you'll be able to change directions quickly and get past people. Plus I think it helps you be more free flowing.

2. Keep your knees bent: I have felt this difference. When your knees aren't bent it's harder to keep the ball close to you and you might be slightly slower on the ball (my opinion on the slower part). Your balance isn't that great as well, so you could get bodied off the ball easily. When your knees are bent, I find myself able to move the ball faster and with more control. Bent knees also gives better balance cause of lower center of gravity, and it'll be harder for others to body you off the ball.

3. Keep the ball close: Keeping the ball close to you will let you change directions quicker and also make quick decisions. If it's closer to you it's harder for the opponents to take the ball from you, because you can just turn away from them with less effort.

4. Always exaggerate your moves: Exaggerating your moves during practice will make sure you got the movements properly and is better engraved as muscle memory. During the game it obviously sells the move to the defender and makes it look like your actually gonna go through with the move.

5. Be creative: Come up with different ways of beating your opponent, find ways you can get past him. Be aware and watch what he does and react accordingly. Move freely and fluidly, let your body loose and I think this helps being more creative, I normally do more stuff when I move freely.

6. Keep your look up: Pretty self explanatory, keep your head up!. Keeping your head up will make sure you get all the recent information and know what move to make next based on you, your teammates and the opponents movements.

That's it
