How to make connections

 1. Make a football contact list: Collect the number of every coach and teammate you meet. Because in the future even if they don't do what they're doing now. They might know someone who can give you an opportunity at some club. Plus that's also a whole book of network knowledge, everybody knows someone else, that puts you in a very good position.

2. Put yourself out there!: It's like dating (Of course I don't know anything about it) you have to make yourself available and approachable. That's the only way people will contact you when they think they might need you for something.

3. Ask: Asking is also the only way people are gonna know you want something. If you don't ask you ain't getting anything. While playing football if you don't let people know that you're free and want the ball you probably aren't getting the ball.

4. Don't underestimate the current network: Your current team has at least 11 players and a coach that already 12 people that can give 12 opportunities and they can lead to other people.

5. Expect the unexpected: The most unexpected person could get you a pro contract. Matt Sheldon (professional footballer) got his first professional contact because his U12 youth coach knew a German dude who knew a german 3rd division coach. He then went on trial in Germany to different clubs and finally got a pro contract at one of them.

That's it
