Track back completely

I have been listening quite a lot recently that you need to be agrresive while playing. I also feel this way, and I want to improve that aspect.

One way is to use my body more often and put it against opponents and try to push them off using my shoulders and body weight. The other way is to keep chasing the player with the ball. Not like a mad dog but don't let him get away from your area easily. But you also have to take care of not wandering all the way to the other side of the pitch. Continuing from chasing the player is the main point of this blog/article.

Tracking back all the way: This is something I need to do more and do it quicker. Tracking back is not a problem because you'll automatically be increasing the numbers behind the ball. whereas if you stay up you have no use except block back passes (unlikely during a fast break) and receiving the ball for counter attacks. For counter attacks the striker is already up there. When you're chasing the player all the way back it keeps the intensity and pressure on him. But if you stop because that's not your zone or position you give him time before your teammate takes him. The transition will very rarely be smooth, or there could be miscommunication. Plus if you track back you have yourself marking him and your teammate could get the runner or cover the space behind yourself. Another reason to go back is for that overlapping runner.

I recently saw a player doing this. That's what got me questioning why I don't do this (Saving my energy on the pitch for god knows what).

That's it for this one
