Training with a small ball?
I think training with a small ball will improve my game because:
1. I have to focus on a ball that is smaller so my eyes have to work harder
2. I need to take care about where on the ball I hit it with more accuracy making it harder.
3. My contact on the foot has to be extremely accurate as well.
4. I get used to different size and weight of the ball changes as well, which I have to adapt to.
I haven't trained with one yet, I'll get one and practice it. I'v seen a premier league team do this, I guess they did it for the same reason. Doing it too much I think would ruin my normal ball game, because suddenly it's too big too control and the contact is way too low and the ball goes up.
That's it
I am big fan of practicing once in a while with a differetn kind of ball (not just small ball) - one simple benefit - it energizes your brain, makes it make new neural pathways and opens up your body in many different ways.
