How to stay focused
Reaching a goal takes time, during that time you can't afford to get distracted or drawn towards other things. You need to stay FOCUSED (Putting all your attention energy and mind into that goal) P.S for however long. Here are some of the ways you could stay focused.
1. Energy levels: Our energy is not the same throughout the day. Sometimes we are high on energy like in the morning or evening, and sometimes low during the afternoon and night (Or whatever yours is). So try and plan your day accordingly, schedule high energy activities during whenever You have energy the most, and low energy activities during the low energy time periods.
2. Choose the right location: Some people work better in silence, If you are that kind of person then find a place without people or without people talking. Maybe you could turn off your phone, close your e mail, put up a DND sign. If your working out just put on some music.
3. Take short breaks: At the beginning if you can't stay focused for too long, schedule a small break time between the tasks. For example work intensely for 1 hour take a 10-15 min break and get back to work.
4. Work after/before hours: During working hours you will automatically get some disturbance throughout the day. Maybe you could start you work early or after hours so that no one is able to disturb you. It can be for computer work or even for sports.
5. Notes: While working something comes up in our mind and stays there, not letting you focus on your work anymore. Make a note somewhere (Not in your mind) and move on. Now you can give all your attention on to the tasks at hand.
